In 2007, Bevan Group decided to help a fifteen-year-old netball player to achieve her dream. This girls school could not afford to send her and fellow learners to the Western Province Games, as the school was not financially strong enough. With the Bevan Groups help, this girl was able to participate in the Games. Blanket Drive
Bakwena and staff reached into their hearts and cupboards for the people on the streets this winter as they do not have anywhere dry and warm to call home. We went to them with open arms, and we were not disappointed with what we received in return. Big smiles reached our eyes and many thank yous were spoken. Just another way we are trying to show that we care! |
Helderberg Kindness Campaign:
A sales representative from Bevan Group developed a campaign revolving around Human Kindness in 2008. Many people has forgotten about the word, Kindness. 2010 has been a busy year for Bakwena. Seeing that every body was getting the soccer fever, Bakwena decided to sponsor the kit for their local soccer team as they are under privileged. We kitted them out with socks, pants, shirts and even a goalie kit. The boys are doing exceptionally well this season and look fantastic in their new kit. |
Sponsorship: In 2009, Bevan Group reached out again, this time to a student in E.C.D (Early Child Development). We have paid for her accommodation for this year, as she is not financially able to do so herself, and by doing that we are helping her to realize her dream of becoming a teacher.
